As part of the celebration of SWAN Day 2008, we are presenting THE CHILD BEHIND THE EYES, by Nava Semel, at Teatrul Nottara sala Studio, at 19 30 on the 31 March 2008, with Gabriela Popescu. The play is directed by Liana Ceterchi and will be performed in Bucharest, Romania.

On the morning of her child’s first day of school, the mother of a child with Down’s Syndrome asks herself whether she should send her child into this unfamiliar world, even though she knows he must go to school.

The performance shows her process of making up her mind to face old attitudes, fears and adversities.
