The entire month of march here at iC! through the arts is devoted to women artists. Our gallery is showing a collective of 8 different female artists with our opening march 6th where there will be live art and flamenco dancers. March 7th we host an event for international women`s day in conjunction with the women`s centre of Saint jerome consisting of among other activities a group painting piece.

Saturday Arts March 29th 2008 12h-16h This month’s event is devoted entirely to female artists in celebration of SWAN (support women artists now ) day. What is it? A half day of discovery of various artistic activities. This day was created to encourage people of all ages to explore the arts. Various Laurentian artists and artisans will be on-site offering tasters of their art workshops. It will be possible to sign up for continuing workshops. Many different artistic disciplines will be there to experience: circus, painting, sculpture, dance etc. A variety of female artists aged 17-70, english and french speaking will be present showing their process and their creations. Who is it for? For everyone!!. We want to create an intergenerational event where people of all ages can gather to discover their hidden artistic talents and enjoy the pleasure of artistic creation. When is it? This special edition of Saturday Arts will take place on Saturday March 29th from 12h to 16h and Saturday Arts continue every last Saturday of every month. Where is it?
